Welcome to The HOPE Group in the Department of Petroleum Engineering at the Texas Tech University!

The HOPE Group, led by Dr. Qingwang (Kevin) Yuan, is focusing on advancing emerging frontiers in sustainable subsurface energy science and engineering to accelerate innovation and ensure reliable energy solutions. 

Currently, there are 2 Postdocs, 10 PhD students, and 2 master students in the team working on geologic hydrogen production, hydrogen production from petroleum reservoirs, carbon sequestration, and enhanced geothermal recovery.
